Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “We purchased the F7N Redtiger camera about 18 months ago and it has now paid for itself 100x over when it provided evidence to the police and insurance that my wife was not the one at fault in an accident that totaled her vehicle and the other party lied to the police. My wife was going to get the ticket after the officer talked to the other party first, but she was able to show the officer the cam video and they reversed course and issued the ticket to the other party. Then the other party lied to their insurance, but after providing the video to their insurance, the adjuster immediately accepted 100% responsibility.Easy to install and with clearly written English instructions. Great suction cup with integrated GPS antenna makes installation a breeze. Cam will slide off mount if you want to hide it while parked without removing the entire mount. Crystal clear video, front at 4k and back at 2k, produce high resolution video where you can read license plates and even identify who was driving another vehicle.Even more importantly, it has a good app that you can use to directly download video from the cam without pulling the card and taking it to a computer. Just in case you are in an accident, you can instantly download the relevant video to your phone and show to Law Enforcement and e-mail to your insurance company. This is hugely important so a ticket can be issued to the at-fault party on scene as my wife did. If you can’t show the officer when writing the report, they may issue the ticket to the wrong party or no one if they can’t figure out who was at fault. If this happens, it’s a long up-hill battle to get the other party’s insurance to pay out and the police will never cancel an incorrectly issued ticket, so it forces you to go to court to defend yourself. If you are in a serious accident (if anyone goes to the hospital, it’s serious), the officer may confiscate the SD card or even the whole camera for evidence. You may not get it back for weeks or even months. Sometimes they get lost an then you have nothing. Have a copy safely on your phone so you can give it to your insurance company and lawyer immediately!Buy the REDTIGER F7N Dash Cam Hardwire Kit to go with it if you want 24/7 monitoring without killing your car battery. Never wonder who backed into you in a parking lot or keyed your car if it happens to you. Some things that set Redtiger apart from the others:They actually have tech support. We had an issue with one camera not liking our SD card and contacted support to see if we had a bum Cam or bad setting as the issue was intermittent. Turns out it was just a faulty card after running a write test on the computer. Not a big issue as SD cards are cheap, but good to know that if you have an issue that Redtiger does support what they sell.Software updates. We’ve owned the F7N for about 18 months and have received software updates to improve functionality. The cam was great when we got it and even better now with new features added.Proof in the pudding:We liked our F7N so much we just bought another Redtiger cam, a F7N Touch, for a new (to us) vehicle and it’s great too.Note: I wasn’t paid for this review nor given a demo unit or anything else. I’m only a satisfied customer that is enjoying the premium quality and features at a great price vs the big-name competitors and their high prices.”

Customer Review: “For me not knowing what dashcam to get, I think this was a great choice. The small capacity SD card is a letdown but for what you’re paying, it works great. Not cheap, not overpriced. It has come in handy quite a few times. Easy plug in and just suction mount to the window. Great video quality too, it helped my local police locate a stolen vehicle. And no need to worry if you live in cold areas cause it got down to -20°F here and the camera had no issues.”

The camera is small and doesn’t block my view while driving, but the video quality is excellent sharp 4K footage even in foggy or low-light conditions. It’s super convenient to just say the command and have it start recording or take a photo while keeping my hands on the wheel. The mobile app works smoothly for reviewing clips and downloading videos directly to my phone, which saves a lot of time.I also installed the included CPL (polarizing) filter and it really helps reduce reflections from the windshield and makes the image look more vivid and clear, especially when driving along the coast.Overall, the Vantrue E1 Pro feels well built, easy to set up, and perfect for capturing scenic drives or daily commutes. Customer Review: “With two cars, I have owned several Vantrue dashcams while upgrading them every year with newer features. The Vantrue Nexus N4S with 2.7K front + 1440P rear + 1440P interior replaces my N4 Pro 3-channel dashcam. In addition to higher resolution, it also includes three Starvis 2 sensors for ultra sharp HD clarity and 150°, 165°, 160° wide angle lenses. These really provide full surround coverage. The cameras are very sharp and colorful at night or in low light, able to read signs and license plates even among changing contrast or street lights. One of the best upgrades is the newest and easiest mounting systems. Everything comes in the box including two mounting plates (for two different cars), static cling films, 3M adhesive, cables, and cable clips. The GPS mount attaches to the mounting plate and the main dashcam mounts magnetically, making removal or swapping between cars very quick.5Ghz WiFi connection makes access and downloading with your phone easy. Vantrue also redesigned this unit for easy on-board control and access. Note the new orange power button also doubles as a snapshot trigger. Direct access for up to 1TB micro SD card and USB-C port is no longer hidden behind a cover. My favorite convenience is the voice commands to switch camera views, take snapshots, start/stop recording, and mute sound.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “This is a really nice 4G Camera. It is very good for security of your vehicle or to monitor your vehicle while it is being used by someone else. This camera can really give you peace of mind knowing you can always keep track of your vehicle. You can open the app and view live 1080p footage from your cameras at any time.Everything was packaged really nicely and it arrived safe and sound. It was very quick and easy to set up. Being powered by the OBD made installation a breeze and keeps it powered at all times. After you download the app and pair the camera with your phone, you are good to go.When someone comes close to your vehicle the radar detects it and sends an alert to your phone. That allows you to view the camera in live time to see if there is a threat to your vehicle. The radar reaches a good distance and will easily pick up somebody walking close to your vehicle. If something touches your vehicle you will get a vehicle vibration alert also. The vibration alert is very sensitive. I was sitting in the vehicle and turned the radio up. I got an alert because the speakers set off the sensor. The cameras record everything and uploads it to the cloud so even if something happens to your camera, you still have access to the footage. The camera has really good footage at night. You can see everything inside and outside of the vehicle very clearly. The inside camera has very good coverage of the entire inside of the vehicle. The speaker and microphone on the camera work very well. Mine went through my car speakers and it was very easy to communicate with someone. You could easily talk to whoever is driving the vehicle if you needed to give them directions or warn them of something. The built in GPS lets you open the app and see exactly where the vehicle is. It will show the location to you on an interactive map.I am very happy with this camera. Someone could use these to keep track of multiple vehicles. It would be really good security for ride share and delivery vehicles also. The more I use it the more I like it.”

Customer Review: “I’m very impressed with this car security camera. The video quality is clear, and the live view feature gives me a lot more peace of mind when my car is parked outside. I also like the GPS tracking and motion detection functions, which make it feel much more advanced than a basic dash cam. The setup was easier than I expected, and the app connection worked smoothly. It’s a very practical device for anyone who wants extra security and better monitoring for their vehicle. Overall, it feels well worth the price.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Great Dash Cam, easy to installApp connection is decent, you have to be close to connect. The video and picture quality is good. The voice control works, you just have to speak up or have minimal background noise. The static stickers work great and the adhesive is crazy strong. Make sure you have your spot picked out before mounting. I had to readjust mine and the adhesive pad needed to be replaced before placing. The wire tool works well to tuck the wires in and the little clips work to hold the wires where you need them.Only complaint is about the picture quality is when you download and zoom in it gets grainy. When you say “TAKE A PICTURE” all 4 cameras take a picture not just the front view.I have it plugged in a constant power port so even with the engine off it continues to record. No additional parts required. All in all, I\’m satisfied with the camera.”

Customer Review: “Cam was great for my mercedes. I loved the Night Vision functionality.Installation was easy but when it came to the hardwiring took it to the professionals. Had to buy the hardwiring kit for $35 but they did a great job in the installation. It hasn’t interfered with my Benz’ security features and works seamlesssly with it. The only thing I regret is that it doesn’t have cloud availability but aside that it is very great. It captures like a pro from all angles.”

Complete Buying Guide for Best Dash Cam For Parked Car Protection

Essential Factors We Consider

When selecting the best dash cam for parked car protection, there are several key factors to consider. Video quality is paramount; higher resolutions like 4K or 2.5K provide clearer images, essential for identifying license plates or faces. Night vision capability is crucial for low-light or nighttime protection. Look for advanced sensors such as STARVIS 2 for enhanced sensitivity. Parking mode functionality with motion detection and buffered recording ensures the dash cam captures events before, during, and after motion is detected while parked. Connectivity options such as WiFi or 4G LTE allow easy access to footage remotely. Additional features like GPS tracking, app control, and AI motion detection add layers of security and convenience.

Budget Planning

Dash cams for parked car protection vary widely in price depending on features and quality. Basic dual-camera models with 1080P resolution start at affordable prices, offering decent coverage and parking mode. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do dash cams drain my car battery when parked?

A: Most dash cams with parking mode draw power from the car battery when the vehicle is off, which may cause gradual drain. It’s recommended to use a hardwire kit with a low-voltage cutoff or connect to the OBD port to avoid battery issues. Some dash cams also have built-in protections to prevent excessive battery drain.

Q: Can I access dash cam footage remotely?

A: Some dash cams offer WiFi connectivity or 4G LTE cellular connection allowing you to view and download footage remotely via a smartphone app. This is very useful for parked car protection, as you can check your vehicle anytime without physically accessing the dash cam.

Q: What resolution is best for parked car protection?

A: Higher resolution like 4K or 2.5K is preferable as it captures clearer, more detailed video. This helps identify license plates, faces, and other important details in case of incidents. However, 1080P can still be effective if paired with good night vision and wide-angle lenses.

Q: Is night vision necessary for a parked car dash cam?

A: Yes, night vision is essential since many security incidents happen in low light or at night. Look for dash cams with infrared LEDs or advanced sensors like STARVIS that enhance low-light recording quality.

Q: How do I install a dash cam for parked car monitoring?

A: Installation typically involves mounting the camera on the windshield and connecting it to a power source, either the cigarette lighter socket or hardwired to the fuse box or OBD port for continuous power. Proper wiring is crucial to avoid draining your car battery. Consider professional installation if unsure.
