Customer Review: This little dash cam has been a fantastic addition to my car. The video quality is seriously sharp, making license plates and street signs clear both day and night. I was surprised by how easy it was to set up, and the included 32GB card meant it was ready to go right out of the box. The peace of mind is the best part—knowing it’s automatically recording while I drive and even watching the car when I’m parked. Customer Review: This dash cam is an excellent value for the capabilities it provides. The wide-angle coverage minimizes blind spots. Setup was simple, and the provided 32GB card is convenient because it can be used immediately away. The only minor issue is that the 2″ screen feels a little small. However, I consider this is minor concerns as compared to the overall reliability and pricing point. Customer Reviews
Customer Review: We purchased the F7N Redtiger camera about 18 months ago and it has now paid for itself 100x over when it provided evidence to the police and insurance that my wife was not the one at fault in an accident that totaled her vehicle and the other party lied to the police. My wife was going to get the ticket after the officer talked to the other party first, but she was able to show the officer the cam video and they reversed course and issued the ticket to the other party. Then the other party lied to their insurance, but after providing the video to their insurance, the adjuster immediately accepted 100% responsibility. Easy to install and with clearly written English instructions. Great suction cup with integrated GPS antenna makes installation a breeze. Cam will slide off mount if you want to hide it while parked without removing the entire mount. Crystal clear video, front at 4k and back at 2k, produce high resolution video where you can read license plates and even identify who was driving another vehicle. Even more importantly, it has a good app that you can use to directly download video from the cam without pulling the card and taking it to a computer. Just in case you are in an accident, you can instantly download the relevant video to your phone and show to Law Enforcement and e-mail to your insurance company. This is hugely important so a ticket can be issued to the at-fault party on scene as my wife did. If you can’t show the officer when writing the report, they may issue the ticket to the wrong party or no one if they can’t figure out who was at fault. If this happens, it’s a long up-hill battle to get the other party’s insurance to pay out and the police will never cancel an incorrectly issued ticket, so it forces you to go to court to defend yourself. If you are in a serious accident (if anyone goes to the hospital, it’s serious), the officer may confiscate the SD card or even the whole camera for evidence. You may not get it back for weeks or even months. Sometimes they get lost an then you have nothing. Have a copy safely on your phone so you can give it to your insurance company and lawyer immediately! Buy the REDTIGER F7N Dash Cam Hardwire Kit to go with it if you want 24/7 monitoring without killing your car battery. Never wonder who backed into you in a parking lot or keyed your car if it happens to you. Some things that set Redtiger apart from the others: They actually have tech support. We had an issue with one camera not liking our SD card and contacted support to see if we had a bum Cam or bad setting as the issue was intermittent. Turns out it was just a faulty card after running a write test on the computer. Not a big issue as SD cards are cheap, but good to know that if you have an issue that Redtiger does support what they sell. Software updates. We’ve owned the F7N for about 18 months and have received software updates to improve functionality. The cam was great when we got it and even better now with new features added. Proof in the pudding: We liked our F7N so much we just bought another Redtiger cam, a F7N Touch, for a new (to us) vehicle and it’s great too. Note: I wasn’t paid for this review nor given a demo unit or anything else. I’m only a satisfied customer that is enjoying the premium quality and features at a great price vs the big-name competitors and their high prices.
Customer Review: For me not knowing what dashcam to get, I think this was a great choice. The small capacity SD card is a letdown but for what you’re paying, it works great. Not cheap, not overpriced. It has come in handy quite a few times. Easy plug in and just suction mount to the window. Great video quality too, it helped my local police locate a stolen vehicle. And no need to worry if you live in cold areas cause it got down to -20°F here and the camera had no issues.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: My previous Rove dash cam lasted about 5 years, and it was a hard 5 years for it. I only used the window suction cup thing to attach to the windshield so it wasn’t “permanent,” and it was always flying off, rightfully so, when it was too hot/cold/bumpy… so it took a LOT of abuse, smashing against my doors/dash. I was content with how long it lasted – I don’t expect any tech devices to last longer than 5 years at this point. Given I had a good experience with that one, I decided to upgrade to a new Rove dash cam. Enter the Rove R2-4K Dual. I figured it would be cool to have the rear view as well this time around. Picture is nice, setup is very quick and easy. The app is definitely an improvement over the last one on my older Rove dash cam. The price point is great for someone looking to get a decent quality dash cam for some added protection. I started having issues with screen flashing and then startup issues, where it wouldn’t load the picture and just get stuck on the home/loading screen with the Rove logo. It was spotty and fixed itself, so I just kept chugging along. After a few months, it was a daily occurrence… the troubleshooting I found online didn’t fix it, so I reached out to Rove. The customer support was very quick to respond, very thorough, and very easy to troubleshoot with. I did everything they asked, but was still having issues. Since it was most likely an internal issue, they replaced my unit with a new one! I appreciate the responsiveness of the support team, and the fact that they stand by their product means a lot. Even though I had an issue, I would still recommend this product. Manufacturing issues happen. Software issues happen. Hardware issues happen. That’s just life with all of our disposable gadgets… BUT I give Rove a lot of credit for providing the support that they do and for standing behind their product to resolve issues like this. I have had zero issues so far with the new unit, and hopefully we stay that way! I haven’t experienced any flashing or startup issues, so I think this one is good to go. There would have been signs by now.
Customer Review: I recently installed a video dashcam, and it has been one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my vehicle. The video quality is excellent—clear during both daytime and nighttime driving—making it easy to capture license plates and important details on the road. The setup was quick and straightforward, and the camera mounts securely without obstructing my view. I also appreciate how seamlessly it starts recording automatically when I turn on the car, so I never have to worry about missing anything. Overall, I highly recommend investing in a dashcam. It’s reliable, easy to use, and provides valuable protection for everyday driving.

Customer Review: With two cars, I have owned several Vantrue dashcams while upgrading them every year with newer features. The Vantrue Nexus N4S with 2.7K front + 1440P rear + 1440P interior replaces my N4 Pro 3-channel dashcam. In addition to higher resolution, it also includes three Starvis 2 sensors for ultra sharp HD clarity and 150°, 165°, 160° wide angle lenses. These really provide full surround coverage. The cameras are very sharp and colorful at night or in low light, able to read signs and license plates even among changing contrast or street lights. One of the best upgrades is the newest and easiest mounting systems. Everything comes in the box including two mounting plates (for two different cars), static cling films, 3M adhesive, cables, and cable clips. The GPS mount attaches to the mounting plate and the main dashcam mounts magnetically, making removal or swapping between cars very quick. 5Ghz WiFi connection makes access and downloading with your phone easy. Vantrue also redesigned this unit for easy on-board control and access. Note the new orange power button also doubles as a snapshot trigger. Direct access for up to 1TB micro SD card and USB-C port is no longer hidden behind a cover. My favorite convenience is the voice commands to switch camera views, take snapshots, start/stop recording, and mute sound.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This dash cam exceeded my expectations. The image quality is very good, both during the day and at night, and the videos are clear enough to capture important details. The front and rear cameras work very well together and provide great coverage. Installation was extremely easy and straightforward. The adhesive mount is strong, the instructions are simple, and everything was set up quickly without any complications. Overall, it is an excellent dash cam, reliable, practical, and very easy to use. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
Customer Review: I’ve had way too many dash cams – I have this need to upgrade whenever I see a new feature or better design, so I’ve had quite a bit of direct experience with dashcams for several years. Always seems justifiable for me as dashcams are one of those things that you hope you never really need, but when you do, you want it to be reliable and high quality. With all the recent scammers out there, I really wanted to upgrade the quality of my dashcam. I did have a 2 channel set with a rear facing camera, but only 1080. Seems like no, more than ever, higher resolution to distinguish license plates is as essential a feature as anything else, so I went with this 4k set. I’m not a ride share driver so I didn’t really see the need for the interior camera, but I see it as a bonus feature as you just never know when you’ll need it. This particular installed really easily, and that’s not just because I’ve grown accustomed to setting these up. Probably took less than 30 minutes, and that includes careful cable management. The supplied cables are plenty long and reach to the rear of my sedan with plenty of length to spare. I resolution is an obvious upgrade, even at night. The app is intuitive, simple but has all the settings available to tweak the essential features and customize the quality. Connecting is a breeze, have not had any connectivity issues. Really glad I went with this set, overall it’s a great value and though I hope I don’t ever have to source from it, it’ll be there when I need it.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Purchased with the hardwire kit and CPL lens filter. Watched multiple YouTube videos on the install. Watch the bad ones as well just to get an idea of how NOT to do the install. After preparing myself, tackled the install over the weekend. Easiest part was installing the back camera. My Hyundai Santa FE SEL has a hatchback, and for most that was their hardest part. I guess the videos helped me prepare. The rear camera was installed in less than an hour. Plenty of cable, routed along the top down the passenger side. The harder part was finding the right place to plug the hardware kit for power. Key points (1) install the ground wire first, (2) install the battery wire on a fuse (or empty) spot that is always on, the battery voltage will read on the display box on the adapter, (3) install the other on another fuse preferably for ACC (needs to be OFF when car is off and ON when the car is on), when you get this one attached start the car and verify the box display changes to say ACC on the display instead of the battery voltage. Then route the power wires to the camera and the rear camera connections to the dashcam. The video is great when playing from a computer. 4K all around and the player you get from the website even has a ZOOM feature. I started using the 12-hour time-laps recordings, this takes up a lot of memory on the card so you only get about 2 days for the 128G card they supply. I’ve switched to just using the G-sensors now to turn on when it detects motion (jarring), and record as I am driving. Overall happy with my purchase, there are a few things I wish it had: (1) ability to adjust the delay between frames for the time-lapse feature would make it better at not using a lot of memory, (2) my model seems to record the front and rear with slightly different numbers at the end and the player doesn’t know how to sync up the timestamps in the video when playing back (for the time being I can rename the rear to end in the same numbers as the front to fix), and (3) the manuals are very light on content only explains the features by name but doesn’t go into detail what they mean… example they talk about the G-sensor with settings for Off/Low/Medium/High but don’t describe which is more sensitive… in some languages Low translates to higher sensitivity to movement. Also the instructions on the video player for the computer is very light in content even the phone app has huge untapped potential. With it you can see real-time your path on a map and the video sent to your phone while driving. Could be expanded to supply directions. Great product overall… may update later with more details as I try and research all the features. Even better support! Their people are on top and respond quickly to try and answer your questions. If I wasn’t such a computer geek I’d probably have a lot more questions.
Customer Review: Solid Dash Cam with Great Support and Value -I bought this dash cam not knowing exactly what to expect. The price was right, and the specs matched what I was looking for. After installation, I noticed the camera stayed powered on even after I turned off the engine. I contacted the company, and their customer service responded promptly. The representative explained possible reasons for the issue and offered to send a hardwire kit to resolve it. However, one of the reasons provided was that the cigarette lighter could stay on after engine was turned off, so I looked it up. I discovered that the cigarette lighter in my car remains active for 45 minutes after the engine shuts off. So, the issue wasn’t with the dash cam—it was with my car’s power settings, which I can reprogram. I thanked the customer service rep and let them know the hardwire kit wasn’t necessary. I appreciated their quick and helpful response. The dash cam itself works well and was easy to set up. The suction cup mount is strong, and I really like the touch screen—it makes operation simple and intuitive. My only complaint is the rear camera wiring: there’s no easy way to hide the long wires, and I really wish future products could have a wireless connection to the main camera. Overall, this is a very nice product for its price range. It delivers solid performance, and the customer support was excellent.
Complete Buying Guide for Best Dash Cam With Night Vision
Essential Factors We Consider
When choosing the best dash cam with night vision, clarity in low-light conditions is paramount. Look for cameras with advanced sensors like STARVIS or starlight night vision, which enhance image quality significantly. Resolution matters too—higher resolutions like 4K provide sharper details essential for identifying license plates and faces at night. Consider the field of view; a wide-angle lens ensures more coverage of the road and surroundings. Additional features like GPS tracking, parking mode, WiFi connectivity, and G-sensors improve functionality and ease of use. Also, check for ease of installation and app compatibility to manage footage conveniently.
Budget Planning
Dash cams come in a range of prices, from budget-friendly models to premium units packed with features. Decide on your must-have features to balance your budget effectively. Basic night vision dash cams can offer decent performance for everyday use at affordable prices. Remember to factor in the cost of memory cards or hardwire kits if not included.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does night vision in dash cams work?
A: Night vision dash cams use advanced image sensors such as STARVIS or infrared LEDs to enhance visibility in low-light conditions. These technologies amplify available light to produce clearer and more detailed footage at night compared to regular cameras.
Q: Can I use any memory card in my dash cam?
A: It’s recommended to use high-quality microSD cards, preferably those designed for dash cams or continuous recording. Many dash cams specify supported maximum capacities and speed classes, so check your model’s manual before purchasing a card.
Q: Does a dash cam with parking mode drain my car battery?
A: Parking mode dash cams do consume power while the vehicle is off. However, many dash cams have built-in low-voltage cut-off features to prevent battery drain. For extended parking surveillance, consider using a hardwire kit with a dedicated battery pack.
